Site Changes and roughly scheduled down-time.

Within this month (December 2009) I shall change the site and it will be up and down and feeds will change. If you want me to push a notification to you when it is stable, please let me know.
This version of Typo + this version of RoR + Dreamhost has resulted in some instability and has been the source of grief. My original intent was to learn more Ruby and Rails but I haven't had the time to work through the deployment issues. RoR is not my day job or love.
I do have some ideas and itches. I am thinking about combining and streamlining my project list to 1. take advantage of what I enjoy 2. take advantage of my skill set 3. allow me to explore and expand my skill set
It seams to be RoR has run into the same issues that Java runs into when you try to host it on a shared system. Even Passenger has not solved all of the issues.
I may even break down and use PHP to do some RESTful back-end work, but there is a particular scalability and platform itch I want to scratch.
